On 15th June 2019 Dr Simon Galbraith, founder of Red Gate Software and world-class entrepreneur will begin his cycle ride from Land's End to John O'Groats.
As a key supporter of the Stevenage Community Trust over the last 10 years, Simon will be cycling 938 miles in a bid to raise £45,000 for Home-Start Herts.
Currently Home-Start Herts supports 30 families through their toughest times with just one paid member of staff dedicated to the Stevenage area and 21 dedicated volunteers. However Stevenage has another 21 families on the Home-Start waiting list in desperate need of help. If we hit our target, every one of those families will receive the support they need to enable them to be the very best parents they can be and improve the outcomes of their children's lives.
Stevenage Community Trust President and International best-selling author Ken Follett and Simon will generously match every donation pound for pound, tripling the final amount that is raised.
The Trust is the Charity of the year for the Mayor Simon Speller and as a keen cyclist who has completed Land's End to John O'Groats in both directions, he has provided advice and encouragement for Simon and generously added his backing for the campaign.
“Setting such an ambitious target only days before the ride commences is challenging, but nowhere near as challenging as the feat Simon has undertaken. Do please give generously to support this incredibly worthy cause changing the lives of young families in need. ”
Robert Stewart - Chairman of The Stevenage Community Trust
